I have more than 27 years of experience in various areas of investment banking at UBS, Deutsche Bank and now Arcano, where I sit on the Board of Directors and lead Arcano Research, an independent economic, geopolitical and technological research unit. Arcano Research serves more than 300 clients of many kinds: IBEX-35 companies, real estate firms, private equity funds and large family offices.
Over the last ten years I have been a regular columnist for the Spanish newspapers El Mundo, El Confidencial and Expansión. I have published six books on a range of subjects (for example, on the financial activities of the Knights Templar), as well as several academic papers and case studies with INSEAD and IE Business School.
In 2019 I received the Asprima-Sima award, granted by the Spanish real estate sector, and in 2009 the Everis award. Also in 2009 I founded the NGO «Financieros sin Fronteras» (Financiers Without Borders), of which I am vice-president.
